2010 FIRST QUARTER TRAINING SCHEDULE ANNOUNCED BY SHERWIN-WILLIAMS AUTOMOTIVE FINISHES

January 2010

Warrensville Heights, Ohio – Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes will offer more than two-dozen classes and training sessions designed to help automotive collision professionals in the first quarter of 2010.

These upcoming business-building and production-excellence courses are being provided through classroom, web and hands-on settings at numerous Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes training centers located in metropolitan areas across the United States and Canada. The classes consist of multiple courses designed to increase shop productivity and include classes that focus on painter certification, AWX® waterborne systems, color adjustment and blending, fleet refinishing, OEM certification training, accurate estimating, workshop efficiency and much more.

According to Rod Habel, Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes Manager of Training Operations, many of the new classes directly relate to the Sherwin-Williams’ philosophy of helping its customers through ‘lean thinking’ – introducing concepts that support sustainable practices – which increases productivity while minimizing or often eliminating waste. In particular, Habel noted that there will also be considerable curriculum emphasis on the company’s breakthrough AWX® waterborne coatings technology. The classes will also focus on the company’s new Express Scratch Repair™ system, which is designed to help shops increase profits through add-on work and minor repairs easily accomplished with its air-dry, HPC 15 Clearcoat technology.
