HPC15 HP Process Clearcoat has dramatically reduced energy bills for SW customers!

Problem:

  • Many Collision Repair Facilities are challenged into today’s tough economy to save on costs while increasing their business and being more productive.

Solution:

  • A solution to high energy bills and long booth ramp up times is here! Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes (SWAFC) has a solution to decrease energy bills while increasing productivity and profits. Express Scratch Repair is a new small damage repair program launched by SWAFC in 2009 that uses the HP Process to speed cars through the repair process. The backbone of this speed repair process revolves around our Speed P30 Primer and HPC15 Clearcoat, both of which can be sanded in 15 minutes at 75 degrees Fahrenheit. These innovative new products and processes can take your vehicle repair from Prime to Shine in 40 minutes or Less, while turning off the heat in your booth!
  • The HP Process, using HPC15 Clearcoat, was introduced in 2007 at a point when energy costs were advancing towards their peak. This refinishing process produces a fast cure without the use of high temperatures. The unique advantages of the HP Process include: reduced fuel costs (50-96% reduction), reduction of dirt & debris, improved output from faster cure times, and the ability to perform same day repairs. The HP Process is the first automobile refinishing process in the industry that eliminates the need for a high temperature cure. This has reduced SW customer’s gas consumption on average by 50%. Additionally, this process also improved body shop through put in shop environments that were challenged by lack of space and equipment used to speed production. In some cases, the HP Process improved daily vehicle output by 333%, without the use of fossil fuels and reducing carbon footprint.
