Kyle Busch and Kyle Larson Pull Off Premium Finishes both On the Track and On Their Cars

March 2014

Warrensville Heights, Ohio – Track conditions at last week’s NASCAR® Sprint Cup race at Fontana Speedway produced a rough finish for a lot of drivers. But Kyle Busch and Kyle Larson led the pack to the Auto Club 400’s checkered flag with both their cars featuring Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes’ ULTRA 7000® refinish system paint jobs as they captured first and second place finishes.

The #18 Toyota driven by Busch of Joe Gibbs Racing, marked his second straight victory at Fontana. The #42 Chevrolet of Sprint Cup rookie Larson, who won the previous evening’s Nationwide Series race, is a member of Chip Ganassi Racing. Both racing teams have been longtime users of the Sherwin-Williams ULTRA 7000 refinish system.

The ULTRA 7000 refinish system is a versatile solventborne product line that delivers a premium urethane performance to professional painters that always expect the highest in productivity, reduced cycle time, and outstanding color match.

Sherwin-Williams recently became the “Official Transportation Finishes of NASCAR”. The combination of unparalleled loyalty, sponsor appreciation and far-reaching demographics makes the NASCAR fandom the most highly visible and desirable audience available. It’s also #1 in loyalty to sponsors: Independent research shows NASCAR fans are the most brand-loyal fans in major U.S. sports.

By adding the ‘Official Transportation Finishes of NASCAR’ sponsorship, which includes the automotive coatings category, Sherwin-Williams further expands its visibility as one of the leading product innovators and servicers to the collision repair and original equipment industries. Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes is the only direct distribution automotive paint manufacturer and provides service to its collision repair and OEM customers through nearly 200 company stores in the U.S. and Canada.

For years, some of the biggest names in racing have trusted their race car finishes to Sherwin-Williams. “More than a dozen NASCAR teams currently use Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes,” said Bobby Moody, Director of Motorsports for Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes. “We aim to help teams cross the finish line and ensure that their cars and their sponsors always look good circling the track.
