Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates Driver Jamie McMurray Finishes Big Race Sporting Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes Ultra 7000® Finish

Sherwin-Williams Covers Nascar® Million Dollar All-Star Race Winner

May, 2014

Warrensville Heights, Ohio – Jamie McMurray took home prize money to be envied on May 17, to the tune of $1 million dollars by finishing first in the NASCAR® Sprint Cup Series All-Star race in Concord, N.C. McMurray adds an exclusive win to his resume; he is one of only seven drivers to win NASCAR’s Daytona 500, the Brickyard 400, and the Sprint All-Star race. And he did it while gleaming around the track in his No. 1 Chevrolet SS sporting the ULTRA 7000® refinish system provided by Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes.

McMurray, a member of Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates, didn’t take the battle for the finish lightly though. Second on the restart, McMurray went door-to-door for the entirety of lap 10 with Carl Edwards (in his No. 99 Ford Fusion, also sporting an ULTRA 7000 finish), eventually pulling out ahead and leading the sprint to the finish. The performance was notable for McMurray, never having led any laps in the All-Star race since his first NASCAR race in 2002. This year, however, he led 31 laps and took home the prize.

The ULTRA 7000 refinish system is a versatile solventborne product line that delivers a premium urethane performance to professional painters that always expect the highest in productivity, reduced cycle time, and outstanding color match.
